Honeysuckle Pond

Another Suffolk pond restoration by the same fantastic self-funding landowner as Faith Pond; Honeysuckle Pond can be found on historic maps of the area. On the same maps other ponds which have since been filled in, are present and therefore these ponds have been lucky to survive long enough to meet it’s new supportive owner!

Honeysuckle pond is a seasonal pond which went dry post photo in July 2019. The plan for the restoration was to pollard a number of trees on the south side of the pond and take out some of the sediment. The pond was 50-70% shaded by the time of restoration. There is some inflow to the pond from a drainage ditch, but there may also be an underground spring.
