This is only the beginning of the ‘Secret Life of Ponds’. Now our creative team of sound artists and poets have resPONDed to the pond restoration science and their own experiences of taking part in the project, we want you to do the same!
There are two main ways to get involved:
- Make a pledge to undertake your own small action to support biodiversity and nature recovery
- Enter our arts competition by submitting your own creative response themed on the ‘Secret Life of Ponds’ following the details below.
Submit your own Creative Response
On the 22nd March each year, World Water Day is celebrated across the globe. This year we we will celebrate the ‘Secret Life of Ponds’ on World Water Day by announcing the winners of our competition.
You can submit any creative response to the Secret Life of Ponds – the world is your oyster! Whether your passion is for music, poetry, writing, art, film, or dance – we want you to use the humble pond as your inspiration and to just go with it!
We have a winners prize of £100 and runners up prize of £50 for two categories: adult and under 16.
How to submit
Follow the 3 steps below:
- To submit your creative response please send us you piece by 11pm on the 17th March 2023
- Submit your piece either:
- by emailing it to us norfolkponds@gmail.com (for smaller files)
- by uploading larger files via WeTransfer here
- by sharing it on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #secretlifeofponds
- Complete the online submission form
