Church Farm West

Between 75-100% shaded prior to restoration, Church Farm East is one of a pair of ponds near the top of a ridge at the Dorothea de Winton Field Experimentation site at the John Innes Centre owned Church Farm. From looking at old maps it appears to be around 170 years old. It was restored along with its twin (Chruch Farm East) and another in one of the field’s corners.

Prior to restoration on the 4th March 2020, there was a foot or more of water in the pond.
